Pregnancy With Other Children at Home
Getting pregnant with your second or even your third child is just as wonderful as when you found out with the very first one, however, there are things you must take into consideration now that you are ready to have another child.
According to the age of the child or children that you now have, you may find that you have less time to rest, especially if you also work outside the home. Trying to juggle work, cleaning, caring for your little ones, and being pregnant can put a toll on you. You must learn to eat properly, get on a schedule and stay on it – so you can get the rest you need, and find time to spend with your child and your partner. This can become overwhelming at times, but once you get on the schedule you will do just fine.
If you are a stay at home mom, you will have to learn to eat when you feed your other child, sleep when they take their nap, and be sure they go to bed on time at night, so you can spend time with your partner.
Learn to ask for help from your partner or other family members or friends. Most of them will be more than willing to help out so you can get a nap or visit the doctor. It is not advisable to take your children with you when you go in for your checkup. The doctor will need to give you his undivided attention as you will need to listen to everything he has to say. If you have a young child hanging onto you, you will not be as attentive to your doctor.
It may be easier to grab junk food or unhealthy treats when you are in a hurry especially when you have other children to tend to, but you must remember the health and well-being of the new baby is just as important. Take out the time you need to prepare a proper breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner for yourself and children. They will enjoy mom sitting down and enjoying a snack with them as much as your unborn baby will love the nourishment.
You will still need exercise even if you think you do enough running around chasing your toddler. Walking is one of the best exercises for pregnant women; take your toddler or other children along with you. Place them in a stroller and walk around the park or around the neighborhood.
Pregnancy with other children in the home can be as exciting or more so with the anticipation of a brother or sister on the way. |
